Position Overview
We are seeking a visionary and dedicated School Principal to lead Al Bushra Elementary School. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in educational leadership, a commitment to Islamic values, and the ability to inspire and manage a team of educators. The Principal will play a crucial role in shaping the academic and spiritual environment of the school, ensuring that students receive a high-quality education that integrates Islamic teachings.
Role and Responsibilities
Leadership and Management:
Provide strategic leadership and vision for the school.
Oversee the daily operations of the school, ensuring compliance with educational policies and Islamic values.
Manage and support a team of teachers and staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
Develop and implement school-wide initiatives to enhance academic performance and spiritual growth.
Curriculum and Instruction:
Ensure that the curriculum is aligned with Ontario curriculum standards and the school’s Islamic vision.
Support teachers in developing and implementing engaging lesson plans.
Monitor and evaluate instructional practices to promote continuous improvement.
Student and Community Engagement:
Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful school culture.
Engage with parents and the community to build strong partnerships and support for the school’s mission.
Address student behavioural issues and ensure a safe learning environment.
Administrative Duties:
Manage the school’s budget and resources effectively.
Oversee student assessments, report cards, and progress reports.
Ensure compliance with all relevant educational regulations and standards.
Qualifications and Requirements
Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, or a related field is an asset.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in educational leadership or administration.
Strong understanding of curriculum standards and instructional best practices.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a diverse team of educators.
Commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable school environment.
Knowledge and understanding of Islamic teachings and values.
Current Vulnerable Sector Check and First Aid/CPR certification (preferred).
