Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Childhood Educator (ECE) to join our team at Al Bushra Elementary School to teach Junior Kindergarten & Senior Kindergarten on a full-time or occasional basis.
Role and Responsibilities
Work in collaboration with the classroom teacher to provide high quality and effective play-based education to support enhanced learning and cognitive, emotional and social development for Junior and Senior Kindergarten students.
Support teacher to develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with Ontario curriculum standards and Al Bushra’s vision and values.
Support teacher in teaching a full range of subject areas, including English, mathematics, science, social studies, and more.
Support teacher in Conducting formal and informal assessments of students, including report cards, progress reports and marking.
Establish a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment reflective of the school’s values.
Tailor lessons to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom.
Collaborate in the design of high quality and effective play-based programs and environments.
Qualifications and Requirements
The ideal candidate will have completed a two-year community college program in Early Childhood Education, or equivalent.
Registration and good standing with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators is required.
A minimum of one (1) year of child care experience is required.
Valid First Aid certification/CPR is required.
Immunization Record with proof of MMR and Tdap immunizations (as well as a personal declaration of having chicken pox in the past, or the chicken pox vaccine)
Passion for teaching and motivating students in an Islamic educational setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Current Vulnerable Sector Check, First Aid / CPR training (asset).
Pay and Schedule
Salary: Starting from $22/hr
Schedule: Day shift, Monday to Friday.
